On October 6, 2006 the Elite Training Center of Puyallup will be hosting several workshops to help in the fight against Cancer and to keep our community safe.  The Elite Training Center is an Official Krav Maga Training Center, one of three in the State of Washington and serves the Tacoma, Puyallup, Pierce and South King County area.

Krav Maga Worldwide Official Training Centers are teaming up with the non-profit philanthropic organization STOP CANCER for the second annual Krav Maga Fights Cancer™. Elite Training Center will be hosting seminars throughout the day with 100% of the proceed going directly to the Marni Fights Cancer Fund.

Our goal is to raise more than $50,000 for cancer research; these funds will be matched by receiving hospitals with an impact of $100,000 toward cancer research at the National Cancer Institute

Krav Maga Worldwide began Krav Maga Fights Cancer in honor of Marni Levine.  Marni was one of the founders of Krav Maga World Wide and was also the highest-ranking female instructor of Krav Maga in the world.

Marni passed away on August 31, 2006, after a five year long and courageous fight against cancer, leaving behind a loving husband and two young daughters, ages 9 and 11.
